MORTAL KOMBAT CONQUEST - CAST
>> SHAO KAHN (Jeffrey Meek)
Shao Kahn is the evil emperor of Outworld. He has taken over many realms in the past, including the once beautiful realm known as Edenia. He conquered and
destroyed it, forcing it to become part of the Dark Realm of Outworld. He murdered Edenia's king, took the Queen Sindel as his bride, adopted Kitana as
his daughter and transformed Edenia into a desolate realm - making it part of his collection of realms knows as the Outworld.
He seeks out other worlds to conquer and he desperately wants the Earth realm, not just as a collector, but because Earth is special, a young energy rich
planet that also happens to be the gateway to other realms.
>> KUNG LAO (Paolo Montalban)
Kung Lao is a troubled young warrior from the Order of Light Temple. He is a skilled Mortal Kombat fighter with incomparable focus and strength.
Kung Lao was raised alongside other children from the temple and trained from birth to fight in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Having grown up in this environment, Mortal Kombat is deeply entrenched in Kung Lao's character and belief system.
He is an amazing warrior who is skilled in nearly every form of martial arts. Being the best of the trainees, Kung Lao rightfully earned the honor of defending our realm. He is now the reigning champion of Mortal Kombat.
After winning the tournament Kung Lao believed his duty was fulfilled. He is ready to live a much easier and more peaceful life, hopefully with his love, Jen. However with new found power comes responsibility. Kung Lao is not aging like his friends and he is plagued by visions of his own death. He tries to ignore these visions and create a life with Jen, but this action results in her death for which Kung Lao will never forgive himself. Through this process he has become introspective, confused and guilt ridden. Kung Lao no longer wholly believes in himself.
Taking up the duty of Mortal Kombat, Kung Lao now carries a great burden, for he is plagued by visions that one day, he will lose in Mortal Kombat. The responsibility for the fate of the Earth combined with the overwhelming sense of an impending failure motivates him yet torments his soul. He must wander the Earth in search of other warriors to help balance a future he can't control. In this mission, Kung Lao is in way over his head. He knows a true champion comes from inner self and his job of identifying and enlisting these warriors he does not quite understand, nor does he know how to do.
>> RAIDEN (Jeffrey Meek)
Raiden is the God of thunder and protector of the earth realm. Although
he is not the most powerful of Gods, he is Earth's guardian, guiding the
warriors of Mortal Kombat in their fight against the evil forces of the
Outworld.
Forbidden by the Elder Gods to participate in Mortal Kombat, he is forced
into the role of advisor. But he is not the perfect advisor; he treats our
heroes with a strong dose of sarcasm and even offers the wrong advice on
occasion.
Mysterious and mischievous, Rayden is one of the most important
individuals fighting to keep the Earth free.
>> SHANG TSUNG (Bruce Locke)
Shang Tsung is Shao Kahn's demon sorcerer. Handsome and though quite ominous, he is not a screamer and rarely raises his voice. Believed to be from Earth
originally, Shang Tsung has the ability to cross the dimensional planes and travel between Earth and Outworld. Shang Tsung also has the unholy power
to steal the souls of those he kills, which allows him to shapeshift or "morph" into the body of the dead warriors. This soul consumption is also the fuel
that keeps him young and strong.
He is a fighter whose only allegiance appears to be the Outworld Realm ruled by the Emperor, Shao Kahn. Though a powerful sorcerer in his own right, he
is not Shao Kahn's equal, though if he could, Shang Tsung would take over Kahn's position. He would turn on Kahn in a nanosecond if he were certain
he could depose or outsmart him. Shang wants Kahn's power and is ultimately scheming to take it.
Over centuries of Mortal Kombat, Shang Tsung has remained undefeated laying waste to untold numbers of fighters with his sorcery, until his match
with Kung Lao.
>> SIRO (Daniel Bernhardt)
Siro is a handsome good guy with a strong sense of duty, discipline and honor, and an amazing fighter. He comes from a long line of protectors and takes his
job of guarding Jen quite seriously. Content to follow in the footsteps of his father and his father before him, Siro enjoys his place in life and the order
and security it affords him. Some have called him straightlaced, but Siro thinks of himself as - reliable.
>> TAJA (Kristanna Loken)
Taja is a feisty charmer with an irreverent gleam in her eye. She is a sexy and proficient professional thief, con artist, and schemer who gets by on her ability to
tap into whatever is necessary to disarm her marks. Even when caught, Taja smiles boldly, confesses her crime and somehow is let off the hook.
Taja was born into a nice, but not wealthy, European family. As a child, she and her less than traditional family traveled to the Far East. There her parents
provided a wonderful and fascinating though not opulent life for her. At the age of 12, Taja's parents mysteriously disappeared and were thought dead.
Left on her own, Taja learned to survive by her bold charm and swift cunning.
>> VORPAX (Tracy Douglas)
Very dangerous and sexy, a conspirator never to be trusted. In the cobalt mines, she teams up with the Shang Tsung, impressed by the fact that the cobalt mines
have no effect on his magical powers. Though sub-serviant to Shang Tsung, Vorpax bows to no one. She's a slippery sort, coldly ruthless, who mysteriously
seems to know the ins and outs of the cobalt mines better than anybody.
She is the most dangerous creature alive, the ultimate seductress who conforms herself to whatever role is needed in order to get what she wants, whether it be
sexy, sub-serviant, or fierce.
